How do I know if something is really a sign?
A true sign doesn't frighten you into it. It feels like recognition.
The way I've always known: a real sign lands with a small click of recognition — oh, there you are. It doesn't come with dread or urgency, and it doesn't need you to twist yourself to make it fit.
Repeating numbers, the same song three times, a stranger saying the exact words you needed — these are beautiful. But the sign is never the object. It's the feeling it wakes up in you.
If you find yourself hunting for signs to confirm a decision you're afraid of, pause. Signs that you have to chase usually aren't signs. They're hopes wearing a costume.
Ask for something specific and let it go. When it comes, you won't need to wonder. You'll just smile.
